Would you buy a lemon/buy back Camaro?

Was just playing around & checking out sold 2010 Camaro's on eBay this morning. Came across a 2SS/RS that sold for $18.7k 2 days ago. Looking at the listing it shows as a Lemon/Buy Back vehicle - no details what the problem is.

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Camar...item460834c301

So the questions are (knowing that we have zero information on the problem) - do you think the buyer got a good deal & would you buy one for this price?

Also would be interested if anyone knows if the buyer or seller hang out here.

Edit: I didn't read good enough because other posters found the problem (thanks!):

Car was purchased back due to noise in the drive shaft. The issue has been taken care of. Car is still under the FACTORY WARRANTY! Manufacturer Buy Back w/ 21,800 original miles

No way! Remember that in order to be classified as a Lemon, If I recall correctly it has to have more than three different issues with in a short amount of time. That is just to risky for me, but then again I dont even gamble...

unless you are a mechanic, have mechanic friends, or get huge discounts from a mechanic, don't bother

NEVER. Why would you even consider buying a car with all those problems?

My car was technically a lemon but runs perfect. You have to consider that the law allows for situations in which the car is a lemon without it being a car that breaks constantly. Mine had a blown engine that was fully repaired. The circumstances that triggered the lemon law was simply that the car had been at the dealer too long for the repair.

So in many cases it may not be a good idea but there are others in which there is really no difference between a lemon and a regular used car. So if you can determine what exactly lemoned the car, it could be a huge steal.

No. It has to be the SAME issue that they are unable to correct with three separate attempts (laws vary by state although). If they lemoned a car every time it's third different problem occured during warranty a lot more would be considered lemons.

Florida Lemon laws:

http://myfloridalegal.com/pages.nsf/...256cc9005da68a

If the vehicle has been back to the service agent for repair of the same recurring problem at least three times,...

If the vehicle is in and out of the authorized repair shop for repair of one or more different problems for 15 or more cumulative days, ...

So your buddies car must have met one (or both) of those requirements.
Just pointing out that for the "three strikes" it must be for the SAME problem, not three different problems.

Sure... I don't have nearly enough frustration in my own life, so I'd jump at the chance to buy someone else's problems! LoL

It was in the shop for a ton of time regarding the top and related top issues. I know several people who have done the buyback with a few who have not but rather had a replacement top for the 2nd and third time. Most of those cars have no other issues other than the top problem. I wouldn't buy one but it does show that just because a car is a "lemon" it doesn't mean it has tons of issues. Maybe only one that required a very long time to fix.

Why not run a carfax or similar program to see what caused the buy back?
