Pennzoil Platinum or Royal Purple?!

I know I know another idiot wanting an oil opinion. I want to know which oil you guys think is the better to go with, not worried about price, I want what's best for my car. Thanks!!

There is almost no difference between those oils. Both are good choices and both will work equally well with any engine. I put Pennzoil Platinum in my car on my last oil change.

I run the Penzoil Platinum in my wife's Escape and Amsoil Signature Series in my car.

I use Royal Purple, was using Mobile 1 before and with my LLT I was getting a lot of blow-by. With RP it isn't nearly as bad. Also very easy to see what the fresh oil level is since you can see the purple dye.

I run Joe Gibbs LS30, but that's because of my cam. If I were stock then I would recommend Amsoil Signature Series.

mobil 1. it's proven, cheap. if the space shuttle used it, you'll be fine.

the only common oil to test better is pennzoil ultra (which I think is now called ultra platinum, not the same as platinum)

but in reality, any good synthetic will work just fine.

A stock engine in what is basically a daily driver? It's pointless to spend the money for Amsoil, Royal Purple, and the like. I use Pennzoil synthetic blend (as the manual recommends) every 5,000 miles.
