Confused on the tune . .

I have been trying to read up on different tunes deciding whether to get one or not but one thing keeps conflicting . . can the dealer tell if youve had a tune if you flash it back to stock or not? Some say the camaro doesnt have what they need to see the tune and some say your warrenty is flushed down the toilet bc they can see it. Anyone know for sure?

-Feel free to tell me about your tune and how you like it

They can tell if your tune has been changed. Odds are they will check and refuse warranty on a major claim such as a motor or transmission.

As you have a V6, you do not have the Flash Counter in your ECM. As long as you put the stock tune back before going in for warranty work you'll be fine.

Ahhh. So sorry. I cant comment on this. I didnt realize you had a V6 and wouldnt know anything about them. I am suprised they dont have that technology though. Good to know.

Supposedly, the 2010-11 V-6 cars are fine, but the 2012+ models are detectable. It's not obvious at the dealer level, but if they see fit to transmit your status to GM for any reason, you're probably busted.

I really like my IPF tune. I mean really.
