I think that is very fair, and so I now have a Ashen Grey Metalic ZL1 with base mohawk and base black wheels that went to status 3000 today (although dated yesterday, I got email and dealer update today). I am really hoping I can get the CRT change in, and I also will change to the optional bright wheels if I can get CRT (then powdercoat them to the carbon version).

Talk to your dealer, mine was willing to work with me on the exposed carbon fiber insert price.

Bruce, I hope you can change your color to CRT but I heard that once you reach 3000 that it is too late to make changes. If you are able to make the change, your order might slip back to 2000/2400. Definitely get the car in the color you want first, the rest can be added. I casually mentioned buying the CF Hood at cost to my dealer but did not pressure the issue. I will wait and see what the status of B92 is at the next allocation.

Why Chevy would be what amounts to cruel to move people to 3000 the very same day that they finally release CRT rather than at least give the enthusiasti loyal at least a couple days to order a newly released color is beyond me.

I ordered at opening time the very first day. I have done everything right to get this vehicle. I would hope Chevy has SOME touch with reality.

I have seen a post from FBODFATHER stating that color can be changed up to 3100, but almost all other info i have seen says not after 3000.

I really do not know if I will just plain give up or not if they can't change me to CRT. I am hoping they might accomodate.

Does anyone know if I would LOSE THE ORDER AND ALLOCATION if I change color anyway, or if I just delay production? If it is a decision between VIN number and getting the color i REALLY want, i will wait, but I fear I could lose the allocation.

Any insights please? The experts please chime in?

Is there another secret way to get the order changed to Crystal Red? My dealership is doing all they can to get the order changed, but say it is not showing up in the system yet as available.

This is very important to me so please any assistance would be greatly appreciated?

Please help?
