Flat black hockey stripes on Black. Yes or No?
I am considering putting matte black hockey stripes on my 2013 triple black SS convertible. I have narrowed it down to this style and color. I am thinking it would be a nice touch that would compliment the ragtop, but, still be subtle.
I did this in paint, so, it is not the greatest. What do you think? Currently: With stripe: With stripe: |

Looks good. I went with the blk rally stripes on blk recently. Black is diffenately a great combination.

I kind of like the hockey strips on some colors...but not black on black. Besides, your car looks too damn good without it. |

I vote no for flat black hockey stripe. A ZL1 hood would look sharp - go all black satin, not flat on the hood.

Polishing a black car is inevitable to remove swirls/scratches.
Having to properly deal with the junction between the two surfaces (taping) and using properly sized pads for the smaller striped sections will be a big PITA!

I personally think the hockey stripe is lame; however flat black ralley stripes would look great! I wanted that but ended up with the CGM stripes. Looks great too IMO

I prefer the black look w/o the stripe, however, black carbon fiber hoods go great with black.

I ordered my CGM SS with matt black hood and hockey stick stripes and it looks great, its different but looks bad a$$ to me. I also extended the stock hockey stick stripes with a decal off E-Bay. Very subtle yet different, I have never seen another like it around here.
