Has anyone taken off the camaro letters on the side of the car? Or does anyone know how to take them off?

Dental floss work really good. Then that goo gone to get the rest of the glue off. Just takes time.

OK. Thanks I plan on doing this today or this weekend. I have also heard that a hair-dryer helps too. Is it this true?

I want to see what it looks like with them off and then I might paint them like people have being doing to the tailight bezels.

Like everyone said, dental floss works great... I also used 3M Adhesive Remover I got from an auto supply store.

If you do decide to paint them, I strongly recommend buying the new ones from the dealership. They cost me like $10 a piece, and saved at least that much in headaches...

I've used WD-40 and the edge of a credit card on my vehicles in the past. Plus a hair dryer (just don't get it to hot) with excellent results and then just wipe the WD-40 off and wax over the spot. Something about the WD-40 it will soften and brake down the glue and being slick doesn't mare the paint.

Not the best angles, but I hope it helps... I don't really have anything farther out right now...

That looks good. How much in total did you spend on the letters?

The letters cost me just over $21 from my local dealer. They had to order them, but I had them the next day. The letters come pre-spaced sandwiched between two layers of clear plastic. I removed the top layer (carefully), sanded the letters, used adhesion promoter, then the trim black. After it dried good, then I put the top layer of plastic back on, removed the bottom layer, and applied the letters.

Not too difficult, just need patience in sanding the letters...
