Yellow with Black Rally Stripes

Thats what i have on order and i am not diggin the matte finish stripes. I usually like matte finish stuff my 08 cbr600rr is all matte black and I love it but something doesn't look right with shiny yellow car and matte stripes. Why wouldn't they make a glossy kit available? I don't want painted on stripes as they would be perminant, should i drop the dealer stripe package and get aftermarket glossy or wait for posssible gm glossy? I did kinda want it on my window sticker but not a huge deal.

Was also hoping for pics of rally yellow with white stripes as i was hoping it might be different yet appealing but it looks like nobody else in the world thinks that combo is a good idea.

You could drop the dealer package and check out Rider Graphics...They made GREAT quality stuff, and will definetly be able to hook you up with glossy metallic stripes in any shade you want. They will probably start selling them in a few weeks.

I dropped my factory stripes even before I knew they were flat.
I haven't decided on paint or vinyl, either are permanent considering when you remove the vinyl stripes in a few years you'll have to repaint the car anyway.

I am getting high gloss, metallic, wider and longer.
My car should be here in the next 10 days and I hope to have the stripes done in the first two weeks.

I'll post photos once complete.

I think the matte stripes look great on every pic I've seen.

It's taken me three months to narrow down to the best vinyl guy and the pest custom paint shop around.

Once I get my car, I'm going to each of them to see what they think once they can touch the car and explain exactly how they are going to perform the work.

Also it's my understanding from seperate post that dealer or factory stripes neither one go over spoiler and I think it looks better when they do. There is a beautiful victory red with painted black glossy black stripes in the photo section right now.

I have a yellow 2SSRS coming that was built Mar 26 but not here yet, but the stripes arrived 3 weeks ago, I'm going to set them on the car first, see if I like them then take them to a vinyl shop, have them duplicated, flat if I like them, shinny if I don't. Either way I'll have a spare. Then have the dealer install them.

I sorta like this too, gosh I hate all these new decisions I haven't changed my mind on anything since I ordered in feb. now i am questioning everything. I don't like the side skirt but i like the hood stripe.

I just looked at the painted stripes.
They look good, however, I can't believe he had them painted just like the factory vinyl.
They even left the little red edge on the hood near the windshield and on the back instead of painting all the way.

Very odd to me!! If you're going to spend the money on paint, go custom!

Yeah i agree with you there, I also thought about stripes going all the way down front of the car but might be sorta mustangy. Its not a yellow car but somebody has stripes going all the way down the front in their signature on here and it looked nice.

Watch out! I pretty much said the exact same thing and a few jumped all over it saying that they ARE custom. Some people think anything that didnt come from the factory is custom... kinda like a sticker on the back glass would be custom...
