Unless something changed with the paint schema, it should be Crystal Red Tintcoat. That's what the Corvettes feature.

I think the front page text is wrong; OP states Crystal Red Tintcoat.

I love Crystal Red Tintcoat. I like Red Jewel Tintcoat, but I really, really love Crystal Red Tintcoat.

Great thread and I enjoyed the images.

I'd love to see the CRT Camaro next to the RJT Camaro ... I guess that'll be coming soon! LOL

Being an owner of the RJT Camaro... I really do like my color, but there are definitely those that enjoy the "candy" look and I can't fault them a bit for it. It's certainly a nice color. The RJT is perhaps a bit darker and I do like that in the look.

Colors and tastes! It sure makes it fun!!!

RJT is a beautiful color. I would have to see the CRT in person on a Camaro before I could say I like it better than RJT.

Was at the dealer this morning getting a free oil change in my Avalanche and they have a CRT CTS in the showroom. CRT color was $995! WTF? Maybe they put on about 3 more layers on a Caddy. It's $325 on a Malibu. While I was there I put in a preliminary order for an Ashen Gray ZL1, just to see if they had an allocation, which they probably don't. They couldn't tell me. I'll keep you posted.

I saw a brand new chevy volt a few days ago, and appeared to have the crystal red tint paint. I thought it looked pretty good, esp when the sun light hit it.
Color's is one of those options, that you either love it or hate it. But for
me, I like the crystal red over the red jewel. I may end up getting this paint along with the polished wheels and the exposed carbon fiber. The color just has more depth then the summit white and the vistory red. I'm hoping will see that color on a ZL1 before the year is out.

For everyone judging these colors based off the pictures here...please don't. That's nothing against the photographer by the way

There really is no way to capture a metallic red properly using a camera. I'm sure even some of the RJT guys here would agree that the RJT pictured looks slightly off from what it should be.

I've seen CRT in person on Cadillac's, Cruze's, Sonic's, and Volts...and any picture I've seen of it (even the ones from the GM catalog) really don't do it justice. It's brighter in the sunlight than RJT and (in my opinion) pops more. Someone here put it best, saying that CRT had more of a cranberry color and RJT was more burgundy. Before anyone judges one of the two colors, I suggest you go find a CRT Chevy and see it for yourself before making a decision. My personal opinion (which I already know some people here will disagree with

) CRT blows RJT out of the water, but that's mostly because I like a candy-apple red over burgundy. Regardless, they're both great colors
