Rain performance on replacement tires
Looking at new tires, in OE 20" sizes, and trying to decide between the BFG Sport Comp2's, Cooper Zeon RS3-S and Contintental ContiPro DWS - looking for other's input/experience on wet handling/traction vs stock Pirelli. (same as, better, or worse) Also looking to reduce 'tramlining' vs stock Pirelli's.
The car doesn't get pushed hard, it's for my wive's 2LT vert, but we do have dedicated winter tires, so all-seasons are not a must. |

The Comp2's have a new high slica compound with excellent wet grip. These would get my vote.

But last I checked, the new rear part number wasn't yet available for the BFG's ... and is the silica compound new on the comp2's or has always been? Friend has the BFG's and says that wet traction is similar to pirelli's

I have the General GMAX AS-03's, and love them....and seeing as you too have a LT/RS you will get a LOT better life out of them vs. the Pirelli's as well.....

I have the Nitto Motivos and they seem to have excellent wet traction. Hated the wet traction of the Pirelli Zeros that were on it.

well that is great, and it gives you a little more room/time to switch over.

Vredstiens also have great wet traction. Got mine from Ohio-Speed and the car handles great. Going to get some for the front when they wear out.

I too have the Motivos. I love them. I had them switch from my V6 to V8 when I traded up. Wet traction is very good. Tread life is way better than OEM tires. And I feel as though road noise is less with the Motivos.
