I don't think the 5.4 would cost $50 million to bore out..so, this could the Coyote Long stroke with TiCVT... Another 50-70lbs off the front if this happens.. Hopefully this is the news they were hiding over here...I look for a new tire announcement, suspension announcement and some other goodies in the coming weeks.

Here comes the Terminator

Yep ... great times we live in .... I think with what the ZL1 has to offer, Ford has to step it up in the chassis department! ... Competition is just great!

I think it's clear how much I am a fanboy, however, I appreciate cars; as much as I'll poke fun. The fact is, that without competition, we'd be driving boring Smart cars or the like.

Team Mustang, Ford Racing and SVT had absolutely no legitimate reason to upgrade the GT500 until the ZL1 was confirmed. There was no way any Ford funding would go to SVT until they had solid grounds to do so...

Both of these cars were running over here almost all summer and, sometimes tested at very close intervals within a week of each other. Both cars were tested in June during a 2 week industry booking. Red was very, very fast... Confident enough to run the car in front of GM... Ford really tied the car down, official times will depend on if the tire size is increased or not, they may have to come back over with a production car but, the pre-production car put the local GT500s to shame.

Edit: Yes, people were running watches at Gantry.

Wonder if Dodge will play too.

Awesome news for Ford...and all of us. The horsepower wars of the 1964-1970 are going to look boring in comparison.
