Tires that will hook

Hi guys, I have the 2014 1le still running the stock GY Supercar g2s and they're just not sticky enough for me. I've looked and looked and Ive narrowed it down to a few different options. And I'm only concerned about the rear tires. I want at least a 305 up to a 315 with a 30 or 35 aspect ratio. I'm tired of spinning in 1st and 2nd gear. And most of all I want something that will hook and take off. I want something that I'm not gonna have to do a burnout with. I don't drag my car at the strip I really only race red lights lol it is a DD but I don't see much rain and I don't drive it long distances

I'm thinking:
Mickey Thompson street ss drag radials
Mickey Thompson Street comp
Nitto Nt05R
Nitto Nt555R
Nitto invos

I really appreciate any input your guys have, thanks

Are you ever planning any road course in the future(even if only 1 time)?

Or is this strictly a stop_sign to stop_sign king?

NT05Rs are great DRs. WAY better street manners compared to mickeys and very close in terms of traction too at a lower cost. No reason to down them. The 555r on the other hand are garbage and the Invos are not drag radials.

You're a first class moron for two reasons:

1) Buying a track car and using the word "hook" as if it applies in any way.

2) Street racing.

Glad you appreciate the input.

There are two lines in my signature. One (the one about G2s) was in a thread talking about how crappy the G2s are because they throw rocks up. Having sticky G2s is definitely a good thing and I can't see how that relates to this idiot street racing or me calling him out for doing so.

The other line (the one about nannies) was in a thread by people discussing turning off the nannies every time they get behind the wheel. I leave my nannies on, because there is no reason to turn them off. If I am that far out of shape on the street (for whatever reason, ice, hydroplaning, oil in the road ... anything), then by all means Mr. Computer man, come and get me. In this as well, I can't see how this relates to the topic at hand.

I have never street raced anything in my life. "Asinine" accurately describes that act. I also do not see the appeal of drag racing in general, on a strip or otherwise.

No pot here.

Though I do agree that a 1LE is a very poor starting point for a drag car, maybe by racing street lights OP means that he is just trying to cut a good light...of course, maybe not. Cutting a good light does not really seem to cause all that much harm.

You, I, and everyone else know exactly what the OP means.

Yes, I'm harsh. Yes, I'm a dick. But I'd rather do that and piss this guy and everyone else off, then ignore the post or respond by giving advice. Doing either of those things delivers the message to younger/impressionable kids on here that street racing is accepted here and encouraged. It isn't. It's about as stupid a thing as one can do with a motorized vehicle.

I certainly understand being harsh, and I've also been referred to as a dick by many people. Your point is not entirely wrong. However, you'd have a better chance at changing people behavior on an internet form sitting in your garage banging your thumb with a hammer than a harshly worded post. You know, trap more bees with honey and all that bullsh**

Peace..

BTW sweet car
