Skip shift eliminator problem

I installed an SLP skip shift eliminator today. I believe the eliminator works well. However I now have difficulty getting in reverse. Does the eliminator affect the reverse lock out? Anyone else have this happen?

It's on backward, flip it around and you'll be good..

There are two plugs on the transmission that the skip shift eliminator will fit, the CAGS solenoid and the reverse lock out. Plugging it into the wrong one is a common mistake. The skip shift solenoid is located half way up the transmission case, towards the top, on the drivers side.

Did you ever see so many wires coming out of a manual transmission? Holy cow! Mine works perfect, but it does not eliminate the display showing you should shift from first to fourth.

The only way to get rid of the display is a tune, the skip shift eliminators kill the lock out but not the display on the dash.

I can live with the display.

I just installed this yesterday. Reverse is now difficult to get into. Nothing is showing up on the display now and have not had to sift into 4th. So it seems to work except the reverse difficulty.

See Post #3 Above. You have it plugged into the wrong place.

The 1-4 graphic will still come up in the Driver Information Center on the dash but the lockout will not happen when the unit is plugged in right. Try installing again using the right sensor. You need to look higher up on the tranny.

How were you able to get it plugged in on top of the tranny? I can't get my damn hand up there!
