It isn't an issue. It is condensation from cold air coming out of the AC.
Every car I own has done this. If it bothers you, then adjust your air flow so it doesn't produce a cold spot on your windshield.

I wish I could RAIN-X my whole car... because this stuff works wonders. I think I got a whole spray can for $5 or so and the water just beads away. But I highly recommend it to anyone having water/moisture issues.

I've had this happen pretty often to me too... You'd think that there wouldn't be any air blowing on the windshield when it's set for the dash and floor vents, but it does. Usually only in the early morning when there is already dew on the car.

I get the fog on the inside after shutting off the car then it sits for about a half hour or less, then start up. Dealer said it was beause the condensor line is right next to the blower????? just turn on the defrost for a minute and it's gone...doesn't seem right to me. Doesn't smell or anything but. This in the pacific northwest
