Awesome video! BOY, I wish, boy do I wish, that I could a conversation like that with friends at a party or something of the sort just talking about cars and comparing them about how they ahndled and such with you and your friends knowing they you yourselves were behind the wheels of those types of machines with a refreshing pint of some yummy frosty goodness like that.

LOL thats Motor Trend, they have been dogging American cars for years while putting foriegn cars on pedestals ever since Peterson publishing sold the magazine to EMAP a British company. Now to work there you have to just love foreign cars and be ready to dog American cars a each opportunity. So in essence Motor Trend has very very little credibility.
Plus that fat punk called the Camaro and Mustang $20k rental cars, but fails to mention they are competing with 100-$300k cars. I found the guy in the black shirt and the guy in the white shirt to be very annoying. These guys want cars that do half the driving for them.

I don't know why you guys spent all that time and expense custom fitting autos into your rides. There's a reason why it only came in stick shift.

Wife wanted the auto for her daily driver. I don't race anymore so auto it was. Playing with tap shift is fun. Getting stuck in traffic with a manual can really suck. Do the manuals have hydraulic assisted clutches? My old Cobra didn't and it was a workout at times.

I've had manuals my whole life.... My Camaro is my first auto, purely because of how suddenly she appeared in my life. I have days where I miss "driving" for sure... Then other days when I'm dead tired or stuck in traffic, I'm okay with the auto.

I still occasionally try to push in the clutch when I go to start her... And very often, I turn her off and *then* remember I have to shift to park rather than just tossing her to first and being done with it. My right hand is also constantly on the gear shift.... No doubt if I trade up, my next Camaro is going to be a stick. The habits aren't dying.

I agree with the previous poster - I just wouldn't feel right driving a 2ss auto. Driving the manual in LA Traffic can suck, but I love being involved in the driving experience I like that majority of posts assume everyone is male

I figure since I don't do a lot of "traffic" driving and the 6-speed has a few extra mpg's over the auto I will have fun banging gears then when I get older and either grow tired of it or physically can't I'll rock a auto. Plus I'm really bad about riding a gear to long just to listen to the exhaust...cam+headers+ory+lm2=REALLY LOUD

It has a hydraulically operated clutch. There is no assist like there is for steering or brakes.

Your Cobra's problem most likely was a too-heavy clutch pressure combined with poor leverage through the linkage/cable.
