TSW Nurburgrings with 555r- 305/35/20 pics

I put 305/35/20 Nitto 555Rs on my Nurburgrings (20x10.0). I'm still running the stock tires up front (20x9.0).

I was a little afraid the Nittos wouldn't fit, because the tread measured 12.5'' compared to just 10''for the stock 275s (huge difference). But they look and fit great. They give the car an old school muscle car look. The guys at the tire shop really liked the look with the 305s. The tires come out pretty much flush with the outside fender line.
I'm not sure you'd want to run them if your car was slammed really low. They should work with a mild drop (1'' or so).

Here's the pics.

Nice, I think the 10/9" should have been standard instead of the 9/8". Looks good, now just give it a one inch lowering and it'll be complete.

Thanks

Yeah, I think 9'' front and 10'' back would have been a good staggered setup stock. It gives the car a more aggressive look. I can't remember what the Z28setup is supposed to be, but I think its pretty close to that?

Could you maybe post a closer side profile picture of the rear tire?

Side profile. Is this what you're asking?

Yeah, everything looks better with a 1'' drop (even the stockers). I still haven't decided what I'm going to do (springs or coils). I want to keep a near stock ride quality (friends and family always make compliments about how well the car rides). I don't want to mess that up.
Coils would also let me adjust the drop.

Maybe put those on my Christmas wish list.lol

With coilovers the ride will be great, almost better than stock ride quality. Springs will just ruin it.

How's the traction on those 555r's?

In this Florida weather (hot and humid), the traction is ridiculous. They stick like glue.

Disagree, have 1" lowering springs on mine, still rides fine.

Careful. Lots of us running springs know that you're talking out of your rear. Coilovers are definitely better, but springs are an improvement over stock.
