I'd go with the Camaro...sure the Vette can go faster, but honestly, IMO...the Camaro kills it in the looks department. But then again...I have never been a Corvette fan...ever...(until I saw the Stingray in Transformers LOL)

I have no idea how this person drove the corvette either.

How long do you plan on keeping the car?

If you want soemthing to drive for 2 to 3 years and then on to another toy, I'd get the vette as the original owner has taken the big depreciation hit on it. You could also buy an extended warranty for it still.

If you are going to keep the car for longer than that, I'd get the camaro so you will know how the car has been driven. It is also ordered the way that you want it.

Very difficult decision...but you have the money, you say -- so....

How important are back seats to you? That's what it boils down to, I think. Performance isn't a huge issue for you, or you wouldn't even be debating.

2005-2013 = 8 years...

That would be 9. Anyhow I was not aware the 2014 would be the C7.

05,06,07,08,09,10,11,12,13... count `em.

Go sit in both...walk around both...see if the emotional attachment is there with the Vette...I think maybe then that will help make your decision.

Then get the camaro. That way it will always be YOUR car.

I also recommend a test drive of both cars. Seriously, that is what my decision is going to boil down to. The ultimate test drive. I will have a very long day of test driving a corvette, a camaro, and a Cadillac CTS. Yeah, I know, why the CTS? thats a whole different story, but seriously, Test drive!

IMHO you miss the point of a corvette. You can't really equate the two cars, especially the Z06. I would have still chosen the 1LT Camaro if I had to choose, but that's because it fits me and my budget. If budget and wife and daily driver practicality is not an option, there's no comparing a Z06 vette to a Camaro. It's sort of like comparing a fast BMW to a Ferarri. The Z06 is a totally different league.

I did simple subtraction that did not account for 2005...my bad.

I don't know anything...just what I've read and heard when it's expected.

I agree that I should see the Z06, and drive it that may help decide.
