If you don't care about your tires, avoid the waterbox and burn them out. I found out first hand that that really really helps your 60' time.

Also make sure you let your engine cool down after a few runs and I took my engine cover off too because it seemed to trap the heat. (Haven't put it back on yet!) Also dropped my back tires to about 21psi and left my front ones at 40.

Hope this helps!

Went back to the track on Friday night june 2 and ran again temp was 87 and humid. The car ran 2.08 60ft 8.78 1/8 at 81.91mph and a 13.52 1/4 at 103.83mph bone stock. The car did speed up by just stalling it to about 1000 rpm. So I recently purchased a sct tuner and then purchased a cai and got a tune from Ted at jannetty racing and went to the to a 1/8 mile track last night temp. was 81 and humid I ran 2.0 60ft 8.56 1/8 at 84.026mph tire was breaking loose out the whole. Ted's tune and the cai picked me up 2 tenths in the 1/8 and 3mph if it was colder weather it would have probably ran faster. Thanks for everyone help and info.

yes the heat is a killer. mine went 12.90 at 107.9 bone stock in good air (DA was -600 i think) i went back this spring on a really hot day (car said it was 90) and i was running 14.0's lol. then i let the car sit for about an hour and 45 min and then clicked off a 13.22. heat is everything with these cars when their stock it seems. however, like you, i've noticed that stalling to just below 1k rpms is the best way to launch. that's how i pulled a 1.88 60 foot time. Oh, and never use paddle shift at the drag strip. Always use sport mode with everything off. you won't spin at all unless the track is horribly/not prepped.

edit: my DA was -822 for my 12.90 run (I just check the unofficial list. I'm on there because i red lighted that pass)

Thats a good time for stock. I believe my car was just slow from the factory. They gave me a orange L99 to drive before mine came in and it was faster. I also run my car in sport shift haven't tried paddle shift anymore.
