20'' vs 22'' Rims? 22" rim owners please read!

I have come to the conclusion that I want to get a new set of rims, I have spoken to quite a few rim companies and they say that I should go with 22" rims versus the stock 20's as it gives a better appearance. I'm looking to go with either a monoblock or 3 piece forged rim. Obviously with 22's its going to be added weight, but how is the ride?? Just looking for some opinions. Thanks in advance.

I felt no difference in any way with my 22's. It just looks better.

The rim companies are telling you that 22s look better because they are more expensive, and thus they make more money. The only one who's opinion should matter on that is YOU.

I make the same margin on both, keep in my the cost wholesale on 22 is more than 20s too.

I agree that you should pick what makes you happy, not anyone else. See if you could ride in a car with 22s in your area.

I love our 22s and they do look so much better to me. if it slows me down, I will add more power..

Good quality 22s can weigh the sames as oem 20s, if you gets good 20s it will weigh less than oem

i love my 22's...wider tires is a plus....ride is great...with the car lowered with pedders xa coilovers it cant get much better....everybody will tell you that you are going to lose 20hp...which is true....my answer was to just add horsepower!!!

downside on 22,s is that pirelli is the only 315x25x22 tire on the market.....so you have only 1 choice of tire and it is alway backordered...you could get lucky 1 week and next week there out for a month...

I do not have a horse on this race but [margin on 2k is one thing ] and the same margin on 3.8K is a all other thing , right = 2000x12% = 240 ....but 3800x12% =456, it adds up really quick .

Hey I have 22's on my car and no problem with the feel of the ride.
However right now I am looking for a new set of wheels (different design) and after owning 22's I think I will purchase 20's next for a couple reasons.

1. 22's weigh more, and just the thought of being able to go faster with 20's excite me

2. Maybe its the design of my wheels or idk what but they just seem TOO big for the camaro.

Ive always liked 22s and how they look and Im also a big fan of deep lips on wheels so I am not knocking them but I guess owning a Camaro has made me appreciate 20s more.

Most of the time depending on the wheel design 20s look perfect.
Depends what your into racing 18-20 or strictly looks 20-22, or both 20's

21 would probably be ideal but with the rarity of 21 wheels and tire $$ comes into play.

This is just my experience and opinion.

I agree with GreenMonster...21" is the ideal wheel size for this car. Unfortunately, the tire selection sucks. I went with a monoblock 20. The spokes of the monoblock extend all the way to the edge of the rim, similar to the OEM 20, which gives the appearance of a slightly bigger wheel (IMO).

I wish it was like that all the time but the rim market is beyond competitive. So much so, I do not even push them.

Most of my 20 start at 4k too.

Thank you everyone for your input. I really do appreciate it. I've had stock 20's on this car and went with aftermarket 20's so I thought maybe it was time to switch up to 22's? I don't work in the rim business, so I really don't know what 22's look like on the cars since no one in my club has it yet. I just don't want to drop all that money and I don't like it.

I definitely would NOT go with Pirellis....i greatly dislike them. I would wrap the rims in Nitto Invos
