If you plan on leaving the ss stock and not mod it then it would probably give you years of good service. If you plan on nodding either then go for the zl1. I have a 13ss1LE that makes 509rwhp, cam ,heads, cai, headers, rod mod intake, ported tb,u.d.pulley, no cats, subframe bushings, toe links, trailing arms. It is pretty well maxed out to what can be done and still be a dependable street car in my eyes. I thought about supercharging it but then I would need to upgrade axles, I decided instead of doing that I am just going to buy a zl1 and have a n.a. car and a supercharged car. I would have probably been better off to just bought the zl1 to begin with.
