Do you think it will be called "z/28"

Do you think the "z/28" will actually be called the z/28 for production, or is that just the rumored name like the alternate names the ZR1 had during its mule days (SS and Blue Devil)?

Only alternative name would be the ZL1, but that is too obscure for most casual observers.

They'll probably call it a Z/28, but it will have the most power and be the heaviest...that's not really a "proper" tribute. I'm not a heritage fanatic, but they should call it something different.

Yes, I think it will be called Z/28...the only real question is will it be "Z/28" or "Z28" because it's been both over the years.

I'm really hoping for the original "Z/28"

I prefer Z/28 Capital Z and the slash. Why would you want the hyphen?

Not that I've ever heard about. Z71 is a truck off road package, ZL1's (well, technically ZL-1) were monsters from 1969. From the outside, they looked like regular base 6 cylinder Camaros. They started off as COPO's and were given a specially tuned aluminum 427 engine in the lightest possible body. Reports say it made over 500 hp. With minor tweaks they were capable of running the 1/4 in under 12s. They are part of Camaro legend.

Thank you DGthe3, honestly I could not figure where he thought a ZL-1 was in a truck. I far as I knew they were only in 2 Corvettes and some COPO Camaros. I had a 93 Chevy Z71 truck and still could not figure out that is what he was referring to.
