I rented a Mustang a couple of years ago and that car beat the living hell out of me. Horrible riding car, cramped, and uncomfortable seating. The Mustang felt small and cheap.

Why do people think the Camaro feels big?

Yea, the new Camaro is too big, too powerful from the factory, and looks too attractive. What was GM thinking???

Its about the size of a 70 Chevelle, an intermediate size car for back in the day.

I had two (2), yes two (2), 1975 Cosworth Vegas. They didn't have the engine problems the standard Vega did, because they used forged pistons, rods and crank. Also, the Cosworth was a total aluminum engine, the standard had an iron head. The heat expansion differences between iron and aluminum contributed to the standard Vega's problems as well IMHO.

The Vega was technologically head and shoulders above the Ford Pinto at the time. GM should have known better not to use cast pistons in a sleeveless block. But the bean counters overruled the engineers, and took the cheap route on the standard Vega. There was nothing cheap about the Cosworth--it's sticker prices was almost $7,000--almost the same price I paid for my 73 Corvette.

The cast piston deal is one reason I'm leaning toward a forged motor for my SS before I go supercharged.

Yeah, it's a big honker. What is amazing is that it only has room for 2 real seats. My 6 year old grandson can't sit in the back unless I pull my seat too far forward to be comfortable. Way less rear seat room than my Mustang had. You would think they could have made 2-3 inches more in the back. Oh, well, still love it. I use my Honda to take more than myself and one other.

Oh yeah.
It's longer than my four door Wrangler! (174 vs. 190in!)

They are coming out of Honda Civics and Toyota Tercels.
They now are just coming to terms that they really can't handle a real car.

Well why didnt she sit behind the passenger set? My niece set in the back of mind while another niece was in the front. Niece in front moved seat forward, niece in back had adequate room. Both nieces are young adults of average size. And as you know with the passenger seat forward there is still plenty of room up front.
