Of course a stick. Its the only way to drive a sports car. It has to go Vrooom Vrooom.

Let me put it this way. My local dealer has the exact car i wanted right down to the color and options but it was a auto. A dealer 1500 kms away had one with a stick. I drove the 1500kms and got the stick thats how much i love manual in these types of cars. Its 1000x more enjoyable for me to drive. That being said there are some people who i would advise thinking twice about it though. People who daily drive this car in medium to heavy traffic, some of our older members have bad knee's so that would makes sense plus if you track race this car paddle shifters would be the way to fly imo. My 2 cents..

Manual.

First manual ever..

BEST CHOICE I could have made.

Why did I get Manual, having never had one before? .... It's a Muscle car.... all the tough guys in movies drove them, all the toy cars had a shifter in them growing up... It was brain washed into me... that a stick is a MUST and so it felt right.. so I learned to drive it.

And now I love it.

I find it more satisfying, more involving, enforces a natural increase in my driver awareness, AND keeps me awake.. Plus because of that deeply rooted history of "real men drive sticks" I don't have to put my manlyhood @ stake when showing off the car to other "dudes". lol

Thaat doesn't mean I have anything against those auto's out there which as mentioned above.... is about a 50/50 split between auto/manuals.

Primary reasons I've heard for auto choices though to date... are young guys who can't drive stick... old guys who are either tired of stick for so many years or have developed bad knee's or other relevant health issues that make it a discomfort. And some who just don't like shifting in thick traffic.

I do the rush hour city traffic every day that I drive.... I do find the traffic a LITTLE annoying but, I would not give up the shifter for an auto because of it.. the rewards > the thick traffic for myself.. Others will feel otherwise.

All about the personal preferences !

2SSRS LS3 on order. Been driving manuals for 20 years. Will never buy an automatic transmission again. Drove an automatic for 1 year and hated it, sold it and bought a stick.

The unique relationship between a manual car and driver can't be matched by any automatic that I've tried. Yes, I realize it's personal preference. For me, using a stick is the penultimate bonding moment with my car.

And remember... you can't spell manual transmission without MAN!

6m as well, and the poster above me is right. My brother's first car was a stick and now his next one is auto. You can tell how much discomfort he is in, and when he drives my car he's sooo happy lol
