My Dealer Says: "Cyber Gray Color Cancelled." NOT TRUE!

I just received a phone call from my dealer on my October order. He stated CyberGray is cancelled and will not be produced and ask if I wanted to change my order to get a camaro. I swithed to Black (2nd choice) and he stated he would update me later today.

Anyone else have the same situation?

I think you just got suckered. Cyber Grey Metallic has been delayed. But not cancelled. It sounds like you dealer wants to sell the car instead of waiting for your color to be produced. So he asked you to change the color so your order would be pulled sooner, getting his sale/money sooner.

You can change it back if you want. And if he says no, then shoot me a PM and I'll call him for you.

I hope not. I wonder if he just told you that so you would switch your color to get it sooner. The sooner it comes, the sooner he sells a car. I bet he was confused that it was delayed, not cancelled.

We should preface thread titles like these with "My dealer says..." so everyone knows to expect a bunch of BS.

OP: gtahvit hit the nail on the head. Your dealer is clueless. Just change your order back to your first choice. No reason why you should have to compromise.

I beleive it DID get cancelled.

GM emailed my dealer saying it got cancelled and that I need to pick a new color. He showed us the email!

Cyber Grey May Be Cancelled.

My dealer called earlier this morning and said that GM emailed him and said that CGM is being cancelled. NOw before you go "he just wants money faster" all of his allocations are filled and he showed us the email. It looked legit

He said I can either change my color or wait for them to maybe bring it back but he said that he probably won't. Now if scotty or someone else can deny this with proof then I will talk to him!

so, here I come RJT or Black

I feel a repost was needed because I will go to my dealer and get proof. I will see him later today. Scotty said nope this is not true and I believe him fully. I will go talk to hima nd see what other people shoudl tellt heir dealers.

My only problem is that we have bought 5 vehicles from him over time and he charged us MSRP for two camaros. He got introuble by GM

Then show us the email. It's been delayed. No way they cancel the most popular color. This color is used on other vehicles already so it's not like they'd run into some unforeseen issue with the paint itself or something.

Noone can prove that your dealer didn't get an email. But you could at least post the exact text of the email or better yet a screenshot or some other evidence.

I can't. Now it may be a set up for him to get money faster but we have bought around 5 vehicles from him he charged us MSRP and not over. While he charged 1,000$+ over MSRP he also got in trouble by GM for selling 2 Cars at MSRP but he still did it.

I will go back and over look it and ask if I can post it on here.

Ah, I trust you scotty Maybe it's a spoof email or something? What should I say?

Do you have the same dealer as the OP from the other thread?

Assuming the email was legitimate, did you catch who the email was from??
