You're right. For some reason, I missed that in the release. I wonder if the 1LE will be in the showrooms in the Fall, or if you won't be able to order them until then? I also noticed something else. The dual mode exhaust is an option on the 1LE, it's not standard. I'm starting to think that a well optioned 1LE is going to have a sticker price of just under $50,000. The decision of whether I should take the '12 2SS I ordered, or wait for a 1LE, is getting a little more difficult. |

So is there a chance they will release any new colors or do they only change one a year? Or is it set with what we've got now plus the new dusk blue?
I'm hoping for a different grey op for 2013.

Blue Metallic
Dear Camaro5,
What does this Blue Metallic color look like? Can someone post this? Will it be available on ZL1, SS? Thank you |

2 things:
If you don't like the black hood wrap take a blow dryer to it. The 1le is just a package on a SS, so it is likely to have incentives on it that a ZL1 Wouldn't. I would think $2500-3k off msrp is doable, add incentives on top of that at some point in the model year and $4k off is a real possibility. Of course, if you order it then you will be at the mercy of what is available at the time it arrives t the dealership. |

I'm sure that the exhaust and navigation would add $3000 to the price. I have a very well optioned 2SS RS ordered for $39,900. However, I would end up buying almost all of the 1LE equipment anyway. I also think that the 1LE will hold its value a little bit better than a 2SS RS. The thing that bothers me is potentially picking up the car in November or December. I don't want to pick the car up in crappy weather and then park it for 4 or 5 months. Decisions, decisions...
BTW, The hood is a wrap. Any decent body shop should be able to remove it easily. |

I would think that you would get a better deal if you order a car. If a dealer orders one for their showroom, they might not deal on it until it's been sitting for several months. Last edited by Butcher; 04-14-2012 at 03:55 PM. |

THey need to clean up the center stack too and while they are at it lose the almost retro speedo and tac boxes( I did not care for them back in the 60s-70s)...move it all more toward a the vet dash and center stack...my 2.. If the mojave leather is the untreated leather like in the Ford king ranch, it will not age well at all... 1LE supension to a 2SS might be fun...though might be too much work if bushings are not the same...shocks and sway bars are easy... |
