How many have added HUD to their 2010 Camaro

You can get the parts from Patrick at GMPARTSDIRECT, he has put together a packet that includes all parts that are needed. The harness you can get from 2SSRS, he did ALL of the research and now makes 2 different harnesses, one with ABL plugs and one without the ABL plugs. With expereience this Mod/install can be done in 4.5 Hours, this is how long it took 2SSRS to do the third install that he did, the first one took from 9:30 AM until dark, the second from 8 AM to 3 PM with a break for lunch. I helped on the first two installs, Ofers car on Friday and my car on Saturday the weekend after Thanksgiving. By the way this was done by two 50+ year old guys. Ofer I will be sending you those pictures I told you about, I got the problem fixed with my computer, and I am waiting on pictures for "Saved 3 & 4"

Kinda looks like it is sitting across the street on the neighbors curb. (Yea know it looks smaller, was trying to get the steering wheel in focus, which makes the display look farther out in front of the car. Normally looks like it is sitting above the front edge of the hood.)

I still have a question whether or not the OEM windshield in my 2010 is compatible for a HUD unit. I have read online where the OEM windshield creates blurry and hard to read numbers. I talked to a dealer and asked if they were installing HUD units and he said no because most people don't want to spend the money on a new windshield on top of the cost of the HUD unit + the install cost.

Does anyone know FOR SURE if the HUD graphic is OK with the 2010 windshields? Is there a difference in the appearance of the HUD graphic when reflecting on a 2010 windshield -vs- a windshield that is installed in a HUD optioned Camaro?

The blur is only on the small lines you see in the pics not the numbers, you can read all the numbers fine but the lines in the tac is a little blurry, If like me you drive some then you know its only a mater of time till you will need a new windshield, That is the time to upgrade not before.

Hay if you make it out to CF2 i know of 5 cars that will have it in there car, and you can ask to see how it looks.

No problem reading my HUD, haven't seen it on a 2011, but I bet it's 95%.......... No regrets...........

No issues at all using the HUD with the standard 2010 windshield here. I don't keep the tac up, so that might be blurry on the fine lines, but flipping through the pages I didn't notice it as being hard to read.

I let a friend drive the car for the first time yesterday. His remarks about the HUD ranged from 'cool' to 'awesome', but never once did he mention it being blurry or hard to read.

All I know is that when I drive my 2005 Dodge Magnum or 1987 Camaro RS, I miss the HUD that I now have in my 2010 Camaro 2LT/RS. I keep looking for it and realize I am driving the wrong car. The HUD is AWESOME!!!!!!
