issue with methanol system

used the boost line to control it. "T"ed into the brake booster line, but it wont turn on at all. but when i blew real hard in the line ,even with the settings all the way down, it worked. but man my lungs could barely take it lol...

so now im just gonna wire it off the maf instead. do i just "T" into the output signal wire?? i think i may need to make a nice solder connection here....i suck at soldering...and im an electrician lol

so i "t"ed into the yellow on the maf with the maf wire on the controller. as soon as i turn the key its pumping full blast regardless of setting. is the yellow on the maf the sensor signal output? it must be cuz all i got is red black and yellow....ARGH. did i wire it right?

You can run it off the map or maf. If using the maf, you will need a converter to ramp it up as needed or it will run full blast. If running off the map you would "t" into the output wire. You obviously want meth ramped up according to airflow (maf) OR boost (map). You cant do both.

Alky control makes a maf box you wire into the maf wiring. I am sure others do too.

The map sensor is in your intake right behind and left of the tb. Google map sensor and you will see what it looks like. Meth wont ruin the sensor. It evaporates very quickly. Your maf should be before the meth nozzles. The meth hitting the maf will make it crazy. It your iat sensor still in the stock location? If so, you need to move it after the meth nozzles so the pcm will register the cooler temps.

I am not familiar with the eforce setup at all but the theory should be the same.

The eforce needs to run off of MAF for meth or it will spray too often. Usually if you turn it on and it sprays constatly it means you have a bad ground. We have installed meth on eforces before with no issues.

If using the SNOW KIT, they have their own converter box. The digital box wont work with the eforce/maf. Be sure it is set to the maf frequency

i may be screwed then. i have the maf/boost controller, but it didnt come with instructions or converter because its the "boost" kit. so i wonder if the converter box will even work? i hope so...

The same kit will work with the maf converter. You just need to get it and wire it properly. Snow must give directions with it. It is not difficult to install. The TMAP does is not involved in the install and doesnt have to be touched. You have to be carefull where you mount the nozzle (s) so that it doesnt soak the maf. I would post a picture of my eforce install but it wont help as the CAI on the vette is a different shape than a camaro.

yeah im waiting for snow to call back. they never do...sigh.
yeah i think i need to order a new maf unless itll work after drying for 24 hours... i guess itl throw a code or run like shit right away if its done right?

there isnt much room on the eforce to put the nozzle. when i get the speed shop to put in my injectors and fuel pump im gonna get them to put the nozzle post charge maybe. see what happens. or how about a dual nozzle with one pre charge and one post charge! has anyone ever done that? lol

I dont know exactly how the camaro CAI looks. You can see on my vette the nozzle is mounted about as far from the maf as possible, and not spraying in that direction. I have since mounted a second nozzle on the opposite side, about the same distance. Your maf should be ok once it dries.
