Talking Its Official!!!!! I am Moving To Vegas For Sure!

Yes folks my family and I are moving back to Vegas from Georgia! I just sold some key items for the price I was asking(a tractor, attachments, and my flatbed car hauler that I bought in Vegas to move my 68 Camaro out here with) I made a bundle price and sold it all tonight, now I have moving money!
We are planning the trip as soon as the beginning of September because we have a couple of exotic parrots and want to transport them during a cooler part of the year and get them acclimated to Vegas starting with the cooler weather.
Once I am there I am planning on detailing Lil'Blue from end to end and getting all this Georgia red clay and dust out of every nook and cranny. My car wont know what to do because it no longer has to go up and down a 3/4 mile dirt road twice a day on average, and it wont have to do over 500 miles a week.
I am looking forward to hooking up with Sin City Camaro Club for the first time and meeting all you good folk. Once I get there I will announce my arrival on this forum, I will be living in North east area right near Nellis AFB....My moms house lol. I will be looking to buy a house in that same area as well. I know Vegas pretty well so getting around will be no issue for me, however I am not looking forward to the big registration fees (by the way what am I looking at for registration fees on a $27000 1LT Camaro out there?) and I am not looking forward to those bi yearly smog checks, and those long waits at the DMV. however I do remember driving all the way out to the west end of Flamingo to go to the DMV, that was the fastest one in town, are they still the fastest?

Any how I will keep you all posted, once i get settled and see what I will be making in a new job out there, there may be a chance of me trading my Camaro in for a vert or even and SS, however I only want a pre '13, I just dont like the looks of the new ones, maybe I just gotta see one in person.

Hi Lil'Blue Coupe, Welcome (back?) to Vegas -- so you're ready to trade Georgia Red Clay Dust for Mojave Desert Brown Dust?

I have a 2011, and this past spring my registration my fees were in the neighborhood of 450 or so, most of which is tax, so it's deductible at least.

I do my registration renewal online, but if I have to show up, I go to W. Flamingo and Buffalo - it's the least inconvenient for me.

Here's a link to NV DMV: http://www.dmvnv.com/nvreg.htm

The locals meet up at Cars N Coffee every Saturday Morning at Eastern and Richmar.

Have a safe trip and see you when you get here.

Thanks for the info HRS, I really appreciate it, when I lived in Vegas last time I had my 68 Camaro, now I will be coming back in a 12....wierd huh?
I always used the DMV out there on Flamingo and Buffalow, good to here that they are still quick service.
As for that desert dust? I can live with it,.....out here it gets into everything, and lately with all the rain we are getting it finds its way deeper into the car. I wont miss these dang tornados either! one of them actually touched down five miles from my house! Thats too close for comfort, in Vegas the worst that can happen is an earthquake, at least then all your stuff just falls into a pile, out here it distributes everything you own to all surrounding counties!
The only thing I am not looking forward to is the fact that Lil Blue will be sitting on the street until I find a house to move into, however it is on a street that is rather busy and there is barely a time where someone messes with your car, it will be parked right outside my window (I am a light sleeper, the slightest sound will wake me) and it is right under a street light, AND we will have a camera on it at all times. I just hate leaving her out there in the elements, I always had it at least under a carport.
Anyways, once I get settled I will be joining you all at the C&C events and the SCCC meet ups as well, I am a photographer so I will be doing a lot of shooting at those events, and I even do graphic design as well, so id someone wants me to do some cool work on their car I will be happy to have them as a client and even cut them a good deal to do the work.
