Steering wheel swap

My car is in the shop for the 4l80e swap and my understanding is that I'll lose the ability to use my paddle shifters. Since I'm already looking at swapping out my steering wheel would it make any difference if I threw in a manual version steering wheel?
ECS blower kit, Alky Control meth Injection, LM Catch can, QTP cutouts, line lock, Circle D converter, ADM transmission cooler, GPI modified LS3 intake manifold, BoWhite PTB, ARH LTs/exhaust, TSP VVT3 cam and ported heads, SLP 160 Tstat, NGK TR55 plugs, ADM FPCM, ZL1 fuel pump, ID850 injectors, 18" Factory Reproductions style 41 with 265/50 Nitto555 front and 305/45 Nitto 555r rear tires, ZL1 3.73 differential, DSS 1-piece aluminum drive shaft axles, Koni yellow shocks/struts, BMR Suspension…FOR NOW.
