Looks like we finally found the vehicle.. Question about using the GM Discount

We have been looking for a 2013 Black 2 LT Camaro for 30,000. The cheapest we had found was 33 but yesterday a dealer told us that he would get it to 30,000 guaranteed.

We haven't even mentioned the GM Discount, so my question is when do we?

Do we wait for him to throw incentives at us until its 30,000 and then ask for another 2000 off or do we inform him now? He is already giving us a great deal.

What ever deal, he offers you cannot be added to the GMS employee price.
your pricing is fixed and non negotiable. except for any dealer offers like free service or somthing of that nature. GMS priciing and any rebates are included on your final price..

A couple years back we used a GM friends and family discount, but as the person stated above me, it is a set price. The price you are getting may already be better than gm discount. There is a table online on the friends and family site that tells you how much you would get off by using it, look it up and I'm certain the deal your getting is better. You cannot combine the discount with any other offers also.

If you are talking about the GM Card, then you make your ebst deal..... and then tell them about the card.

I did not see where you said GMS which is entirely different.

Your dealer should know about these and is probably using them in his calculations.....

I keep seeing that the MSRP is around 28,700 but I haven't found a 2LT within 200 miles that is under 32 K (besides a rally yellow and an orange).

Base MSRP is a manual transmission. You have to add more if you want Nav, sunroof, RS, stripes, etc. At this time of the year, most dealers are probably out of base models and only have the models with the extras and autos.

Let him give you the lowest price possible, then slap him with the employee discount.

This. I ended up with some things I didn't necessarily want (sunroof, lighted cupholders / foot wells... etc...) but I'm kinda glad I got 'em... and I was able to get the dealer to come up on my trade to cover some of the costs of the add ons I didn't really want.

Good luck to you.
