Lowered the Black Widow - with pics!

Installed 1" lowering springs on my '14 1LE - was not a fan of the fender to tire gap from the factory...It still rides great and gives it a meaner stance IMO!

Question though, why did you ruin the look of your car by putting those hideous wheels on?

That looks amazing!! So you think the ride quality is much the same? I take it BMR are linear and not progressive springs. Any idea how they compare to the stock spring rate? Any issues with alignment? I have heard sometimes camber plates are needed after lowering for proper alignment. Thanks for posting man!

BMR lowering springs are actual a dual rate springs with a linear working rate. To make this kind of easier to understand they basically use a softer rate on the top couple coils to get the ride height where they want it but the actual part of the springs that does all the work is linear.

Thanks guys, I've gotten many compliments at the car shows from taking the black 1LE 10 spoke wheels off and installing the 5 spoke ZL1 wheels. The ride is much the same, just a tad bit stiffer, but not bad at all. Not sure on the alignment issues, I drove straight to the shop and had a re-alignment performed right after the install, but didn't ask how much it was off...and the springs are Eibach brand...thanks!

I prefer the silver. Black wheels are so over played. I think they look like steel wheels and I still have them on my car. Now I'm waiting for someone to chime in and say how it wouldn't be a 1LE without them. Kinda like the hood wrap. It seems like everyone wants to be Darth Vader.

Looks good!

Weren't you just trying to sell this car on ebay?

And didn't you have those same wheels painted black before?
