Cruise Control
Is cruise control installed on the manual transmission? I've only owned trucks that were manual shift and none of them had cruise. I hope so, it'll come in handy on the next trip to INDY!

Yes, they do have cruise control in manual cars, but I have not found any website's that say the manual version of the 2010 Camaro has cruise control.

As it is standard equipment on all the trims, I would be positive it's in both... if u zoom in on the top pic u can see that the IOM car is a manual w/CC..

My dad's old '93 Saturn SW2 had a manual transmission and cruise. If that thing had it, them I'd be shocked if the Camaro didn't.

The current gen Mustang has cruise control standard with a manual so you can bet the Camaro will too.

Cruise control has been available on manuals almost as long as it has on automatics (trivia: the 1959 Cadillac Eldorado Series 62 was the first car available with cruise control). I've seen Trans Ams and Camaro Z28's from the 1970's with factory cruise and a 4 speed stick. All cruise is (the old cruise) is an electrically operated servo that uses engine vaccum to hold and control the throttle cable. The new cruise (like what is on the 2010 Camaro) is completely computer controlled, no vaccums or servos, as the car does not have a throttle cable (neither the 3.6 or LS3 do)
The new Camaro has it standard on every single car that comes off the assembly line. Cruise today is like rear defrost, A/C, or power steering in any car today: been around a while, at first it was an expensive option, then a cheap option, and then when everyone was opting for it it was just made standard. I can think of only a handfull of 2008 model year cars that don't have cruise standard across all trims. |

Thanks to all for all the input. I'm convinced.
