Need some opions regarding 2013 camaro speaker upgrades! Thanks

Hey everyone,
So I've had my 2013 v6 1LT for about 9 months now and haven't done much besides an intake upgrade and HID kit install but now I'm ready to upgrade the sound system! I just ordered the GM5201AB Dash Kit, and Poineer AVH-X2500BT 2-DIN w/ DVD Receiver Head Unit and I have a buddy ready to upgrade the speakers for me and add a requested 12in Sub in the trunk. What I want to know is, what door speakers would you all suggest as far as quality I'm trying to stay on a bit of a budget but for now just want the best suggestions for door speakers as well as the best suggested sub brands. I currently intend to just use a 1200w 4-channel amp I got a good deal on but if you have suggestions in regards to the amp I'd like to hear them as well. Thanks for any feedback!

Keep us updated on how that Scosche kit works out. I have been interested in one but a lot of people have had issues with them...mainly pertaining to radio frequency reception with the fob/remote and the TPMS.

Will do! I have a couple people who haven't had any issues at all. Are you saying that people you know have had issues with their keyless entry remote? why would the install affect that, or the TPMS for that matter? My fault just want to confirm what your referring to. Thanks.

I'm doing a stereo build as well.

1. Metra dash kit
2. Pioneer AVH x5600bhs
3. Alpine Type R SPR-60c (front component speakers)
4. Alpine Type R SPR-69 (rear coaxial speakers)
5. Alpine PDX F4 (4 channel amp for front and rear speakers)
6. Alpine MRX M240 (mono amp for sub)
7. Alpine Type R 12" Sub

My sister has and identical build in her Camaro except for a different sub and sub amp. The speakers are crystal clear, they are not harsh whatsoever. I really love the type r speakers they don't disappoint. I'm getting mine installed Jan 18th. I can't wait.

Good Luck with your system!

Nice! I get my car back from the shop Friday and plan to have in install done then. Ill be sure to post some pics! Ill have to look into those Type Rs you mentioned for sure when making my final decision. My mechanic is a really cool guy so if he like them too then that's probably a good pick. I was hesitant on going with the Schoche kit but he told me he'd make sure it was good to go. And I liked the set up a bit better then the Metra (just personal preference). Anyways, thanks and I know what you mean, Ive been driving a rental for a week and Cant wait to have my car back and get this system installed!
