It is the same weight as the stock hood and includes many of the factory hood design features including crush initiators and attaching hardware. The functional scoop allows cold, fresh air to enter the engine compartment, forcing hot, under-hood air out. It includes an injection molded grille for the hood scoop opening. slp does look like it and it is 1000, which sounds like what he paid...but is is functional, just not a ram air hood like sinister and mld1
Price is right.... I know the "grille" isn't seated properly in his, and he keeps talking about bringing it back and having screws put in to hold it into the slot... didn't think it'd be functional if they can put screws in it.... though it was double sided as is, which is why it doesn't seat... pretty sure it is SLP tho. Didn't be post pix on the forum when he had it installed?

Do want. The Thin Mints and Samoas were always my favorites.

Question paint or powder coat?

Question for our experienced membes-

When it comes to the OEM gfx and the polished bezels/exhaust ports on the rear diffuser; which is the better alternative : painting with a high heat engine or header paint, or powder coating? Keep in mind, with off road headers (no cats) I'm putting out a lot of heat, already melted the plastic...

Obviously quality and cost will be contributing factors...

What's everyone think?

I have zero experience with powder coating... new ground for me

If u r just talking about the chrome bezels since $$ matters go with paint first u can change it if u don't like it.

My luck w painting is chipping, bubbles etc... probably better to spend an extra $50 rather than the hassle- easy to take Bezels off now, bug once I weld the new dual tips in, gonna be a b#%ch to get off to redo...

Sorry to hear about the tranny problems... but Merry Christmas to me- MGW shifter!!!!!

Interesting point tho- when I peeled out of Stuart at the Chevy 100 yr meet, my clutch stuck to the floor for 2-3 seconds... scared the hell outta me! Popped back out tho...
