Must have's for your car?
So I was casually looking through the order form for my 1LE yesterday and saw this little thing that said "performance dual mode exhaust" so i googled it up and learned of what it does and found out how to pull the fuse. Did that this morning and you can hear a difference.
I then skimmed through my manual for anything else and turns out my car has launch control as well? Read through that and learned how to activate but haven't gotten around to finding a road to test it. Was browsing the forums just now and learned of a little piece you can buy to get rid of the skip shift function which i hate. Definitely need to order that now. Is there anything else that i need to know of that might have a small impact on the experience? I had some big mods planned out for the near future like the hellion twin turbo setup so i didn't really plan on doing much small stuff. But if its there i would like to know of it. My car is a 2015 1LE 2ss manual if that matters at all. |

One of the only quick / easy tricks that there's plenty of info on is the temporary fuse pull in case the car was ever run with lower octane gas in it. I did it and noticed no difference, but others report that it did indeed change things.
http://www.camaro5.com/forums/showthread.php?t=38964 Worth a try considering the cost.

Change the transmission and rear end fluid to RedLine or Royal Purple, make a huge difference.

Subbed.... I like your post. I too just got a '15 2SS RS 1LE and am finding all kind of little things about it everyday.
Yesterday i found out by looking a someones elses int pictures that there is a power outlet next to the "traction control" button. I'd never even touched this "plate" before as there is nothing on it saying its other than a blank. ...Your talking about the skip shift eliminator.... But have you gotten a taste of hill start assist!!?? Damn thatt is irritating!!! It got me the first (and only) time i was on a serious hill, i was like WTF??? Whats wrong with this stupid car!! Ended up excusing myself to car... Lol!! Didnt try the launch either. Im just at 650 miles so still pampering it....... A bit. HELLsx. Ps, glad to see your looking at pressurising the thing!! Im considering it too!! Ill be following if you do!

First thing I did was install the skip shift eliminator. The second thing I did was get a plug in harness that keeps the DRL's on at night. 3rd thing I did was install LED lamps in the DRL's so they match the halos and HID's. Did all these in the 1st 2 weeks of ownership.

Get a front end clear bra and also for the side mirrors and "gill" area in front of the rear wheels pronto.
Some rock guards too if you do not install any clear material behind each wheel to protect the paint from our super sticky rubber.

Piss on all that other stuff, bolt on two turbos for a 300whp increase, then yell at me for all the bugs you kill and gas your gunna burn....
All kidding aside, if turbos are in your future, do your homework. Read, read, read then read some more. Check the competition and then read some more.
