Cost to replace Brembos and Rotors

Hey guys... I am patiently awaiting the delivery of my 2SS/RS Camaro. Do any of you know the cost of the brembo's and rotors and after roughly how many miles are you supposed to change them (I know this depends on how u drive it, but just a guesetimate).

I am just trying to see how much will the maintenance cost on this car... Thanks!

Good question but if you have to ask you may not be able to afford it. I can't afford one of those myself.........so I got the LT. I'll be glad when it comes out of hiding.

Price depends on what you get, they don't have to be "Brembo" pads. Hawks brake pads run between $110 & $150 A set (front set or back set) and they are great.

I don't see rotors for sale out there yet.

Either way, my car has 136,000 miles on it and I have only had to change the pads And rotors once and that ran me $600 for everything, four drilled and slotted Eradispeed rotors with pads.

Its gonna be a REALLY long time before you need to worry.

Replacement non-brembo brand pads are around $100 a set

Those rotors are probably around $100 each

You probably won't have to replace the pads till 20k-30k miles if you dont drive like a maniac, and the rotors should easily last 75k miles.

Some of us are in a group buy for RacingBrake 2-piece rotors which are lighter and offer better cooling; we're not replacing our current ones because they've worn out but at least you can see what's available:

Also keep in mind that by the time you need them, they'll be more aftermarket options (and price options) available.

Oh wow. Do you think maybe he can afford it because he plans for the future and is smart with his money? Nothing wrong with asking how much something is going to cost to maintain. That's just smart, money smart.

Anyway, if you go to tirerack.com they have various pads available that run anywhere from $129 an axle to $268. Unfortunately none of them are "Brembo" branded pads. Some people feel that Hawk are just as good Brembo so....

The only rotors they list are brembo slotted or cross drilled. They run $369 a pair. But these would be an upgrade from the stock rotors. When I finally need new rotors I'll be getting these.

If you're feeling froggy they do offer the Brembo Big Brake upgrade kit for $4500 an axle!!

No they do not at all. I can see either drilled or slotted rotors and some Hawk Ceramics down the road for me. I am pretty sure just the Calipers on the SS are Brembo's. I do not think the rotors or the pads are.

If you are looking for replacement brake pads with very little brake dust and good performance, you might want to consider looking at Satisfied Brake.

You know, the Brembo rotors are an upgrade, but they are only available in gold, yuch. Where the hell are the Silver finish ones?
