Smile Borla Headers + Borla S Type Exhaust

Do you guys think its worth it to throw on Borla headers and Borla exhaust on a L99 2SS? I've read that the exhaust note is the greatest on the L99 and I want it to be sounding like a rocket is taking off. How much horse power would be gained?

Exhaust is really gonna help more with the Tone then the HP. If you are looking at HP then keep an eye out on the intakes first then make your way back to the exhaust. To really see gain though you will need a retune. Just depends on how far you wanna take it.

Anyway to answer you question, 10-15HP. Of course this is just a guess.

I'm waiting for K&N or another major intake company to make a cold air for the SS, I'm not too interested in the GM intake that's out now. But deff going to put an intake on it, the headers w/ exhaust and an intake would sound great, and then a re-tune and possible supercharger then its a rocket.

A CAI/Headers/Mid Pipe with conv/tune on a C6 will give you about 410 - 430 rwhp, expect similar results on the Camaro.

Yeah - I think LTs and CB will give another 30-40 RWHP pretty easy with a good tune. Tom Henry Racing is prototyping LTs and a CB right now on TAG's car - I'd keep an eye on that thread and what TAG' posts when the results come in. I like Borla, myself, but it's nice to have options

Summit Racing has them (Borla S-type cat-back systems) listed already with a ship date of 6/5/09.

Borla 140280 SS Cat back system $1,294.99
