2 types of 2010 windshields
I had my winshield vandalised 1 and half month ago. Dealer received first windshield last July but was not the right model.
The difference is that mine has a small connecting box on the right of the miror and they received one without that box and OnStar connections where different. They order an other one but dealer received the same type of windshield today. I looked up my BBOMG friends cars and it seems that car with low Vin no. (Less that 7,000 so far) has the box while the newer ones don't have it. Does anyone had some issues and what was the solution? I tried to take a pic but quite hard to get a clear one, but this is how it looks like:

Remote Start???
Question:
His this box for remote start on automatics and that could explain why some (manual) woul'nt have that box?

I had my windshield replaced from a stress crack. The new one has a different blackout pattern on it, it is smaller and not as dark., but I don't know about a box.

I have an auto 1SS no remote start and no boxxy thing but the new windshield is definitely not the same as the old one

Mine has it. 2LT RS. Dealer told me it was the receiver for the remote.

My manual 2010 2SS has no box on the windshield, so I don't think it's that as I still have remote keyless entry...unless that changed mid production...mine was built in January of 2010.
