Hey, I'm 53, making payments, going through my second midlife crisis and adding enough HP that I wet my Depends every time I stomp on it!

Did I just start my own thread?

x 100000000000000000000999999 to this thread
this thread needs to be closed too much fighting goes on; Older people "i pay my own payments and i cant believe this kid was just handed a camaro for no f^*king reason, man when i was his age i had my dads old pick-up. Kid you need to go to college get a job get out of your parents' house and then buy your camaro on your own...this generation of kids are just spoiled".....then come in those younger kids who pay their own "dude i work my a$$ of for this car and i dont eat for like days so i can pay for this car, i deserve it"........and lastly but certainly not least those who have a camaro that mom and pop bought for them "well i do good in school stay out of trouble get straight A's and im in honors and in sports, i deserve it"

Point being, and I have stated this many many times in other "16 year old" threads, WHY CANT WE ALL JUST GET ALONG!!! No matter the age why cant we all just discuss camaros? But also these types of threads do get annoying and old. THE SEARCH BUTTON IS YOUR FRIEND!

ok end rant, and hopefully the last one.

oh yea and congrats on your Camaro, im getting mine when i turn 18...and yes i'll be paying for it on my own for those of you who care to know.

When I turned 16 I got a heads/cam/intake/bolton/full suspension(drag race) 90 LX 5.0 with a spool and 4.10 gear. Dad would only let me run nitrous at the track though.

The car made 274rwhp hp in NA form, with 36lb injectors so that was overkill. A tune would have netted a gain. Either way it went low 12s @ 109mph with 1.5x 60ft times. On gas it would run high 10s.

Lucky to be alive today. And to top it off at 19 I bought a lowered, mapped, exhaust, sprocketed, 2002 GSXR1000 that made 152whp.

I always laughed at my first run at the track on the bike. It was a 10.77 @ 128 on a 2.7 60ft time.

I should be dead now. I was lucky.

The biggest thing is you have to respect the performance of the vehicle. And be responsible.

So your parents bought you a car. Big deal. There should just be one simple "Spoiled" thread stickied at the top of this forum so people will stop posting these threads.

I think the nutz should drop 1st, then the badass car comes next. Just a broad general rule.

All I hope is that when my kids turn 16, I can afford to "spoil" them by getting them a nice car. Enjoy it. Take care of it. Respect it. Stay safe.
