Ordering/installing it and being legal are two different things!

The new smog program during the test, asks straight up...."are there any aftermarket items/equipment on the vehicle". If you select "yes"....then the EO/Carb number has to be entered in the smog machine.

Also....it knows how many monitors a car should have and if any have been turned off (missing cats, rear-02's etc).

Also...the vin has to be scanned from the car, then the DMV papers...then the smog machine reads the VIN from the PCM...and prints all of this right on the paper work.

The days of paying to "buy" a smog are coming to close.....and quick.

It is not. They have some tube / filter combo that's available, but not a CAI.
