I'm going to start machine polishing!

I'm ready to make the jump, but not sure exactly what products I need. I have already (all Adams)

Great white drying towell, wash mit, etc... I'm OK on the wash and dry. I have a foam gun too.
Clay Bar (Mother's Brand)
2x double plush microfiber towels
Americana Paste
Swirl and haze remover
Revive Polish
1 gallon detail spray.

Do I need to buy new polishes too? I don't see anyone using revive polish with the PC.

You need to buy Fine Machine Polish. It is used with machine instead of Revive.

Yep. The sever swirl remover is a heavy compound. If your car is newer you probably won't need it. It never hurts to have it on hand though.

There is Swirl and Haze Remover (SHR) and Severe Swirl and Haze Remover (SSHR). The latter is only needed if the car is in REALLY bad shape.

I'd say most people are gonna be able to get the desired result with just Swirl & Haze and Fine Machine... even if it takes 2 passes of SHR.

I did my black Camaro last weekend using Adams and the Porter Cable 7424XP. I was trying to remove spider web scratches that were all over the car.

I was amazed at the results. They're gone!

I used the Swirl and Haze Remover, then the Fine Machine Polish. I finished up with the Buttery Wax.

To prep for this, I watched the videos on their site several times.

I'd post pics, but all I have is a phone camera.

Good luck with your project.

Why does Adam's bundle all purpose cleaner with their polishing kits? What purpose does general purpose cleaner serve when polishing? I know to use detail spray as a primer.

Ok... So i think I need a
PC (seen as low as $116 shipped),
adams backing plate, $25
Swirls and haze remover PAD, (I already have the polish) $13
FMP $25
FMP pad. $13

looks like i can do it for ~$200

And I wish I could buy the PC from Adam's, but it would mean buying more product than I need if I did so.

As I own Americana paste wax, I do not yet want to buy MSW and the appropriate pad.

If anyone has any thoughts, or wants to talk me into a FLEX, I am here to listen and learn. Should I throw in a glaze?

The APC is for cleaning the pads afterwards.

Between passes with polish you should mist each panel with 1:1 IPA and wipe off. That removes any leftover oils or polish that is on the car. That way none of that is filling the scratches making you think you're done when you're not.

The Machine Super Sealant (wax was the old name) will provide much better protection than will Americana. It's worth it if you want to stay all Adam's.

You don't need a Flex for a brand new Camaro. The PC will do it, just a bit slower. The PC is safer too.

Last Saturday was my first time doing anything like this. I found it fairly easy to do, but took me all day.

I may have been doing something wrong, but I used the smaller pads as much as the larger pads. With all the lines and curves on our cars, just felt more comfortable with the small pads in tight spaces.

I bought a set of both small and large pads. My sets came with the appropriate backing pads and also came with the APC.

You can try Autogeek if you are just looking for the PC 7424XP.

There are Pads kits available with the PC if that is what you are looking for.

For Pads, depending on how bad your car is, Get an Orange Pad, White Pad and a Grey Pad.

I bought the Menzerna Ceramic Kit from Autogeek and so far, the results are very good IMHO.

I'd also check with Adams to see if they have a small package kit for the PC7424XP with just a few pads, since they are a site sponsor.
