Was there any baseline numbers from the car prior to supercharger install?

I think the baseline numbers were about normal. I'm willing to bet in the overall scheme of making hp effeciently, a Vortech will outdue all the rest!

Sorry for the delay on getting more information to you guys. Just as in most cases, Vortech isn't the first to market, because we never rush the engineering process on any of our systems. We have always been notorious for OEM quality fit and finish, which many of our competitors can only aspire to but never achieve.
We definitely are pulling out all the stops on the development of this system for the new SS. While our initial offering will include our V-3 Si-Trim Supercharger (which will support up to 775 horsepower), the bracket is a heavy-duty dual plate design and will accommodate all the way up to our V-7 YSi-Trim Supercharger without any modification..that's up to 1,200 horsepower support capability right out of the box people!!! The system will include a dedicated 8-rib serpentine drive system, with the option to upgrade to a 10-rib or 35mm cog drive for serious horsepower setups. Here's another pic to salivate over... ...and check out how HUGE that cooler is! Those of you who didn't just jump on the first thing to come to market are certainly going to happy they waited... |

I like the looks of a nice twin screw sitting in the intake valley. Centrifugal is nice too though.

I'll be interested in seeing how this S/C stacks up. Got a rough estimate on how long we have till we see some numbers?
No rush here, I personally am gonna wait till I have about 2-3k miles on the car, seems to be some QC issues due to the volume of cars going out atm. As soon as I know my car is free of defects it will be supercharged. I have no interest in a Turbo.

A couple weeks if I had to guess. We are waiting for production ducting right now. The inlet is going to be a SICK custom molded piece that will be able to flow as much air as possible and draw from a cold air source in the fender...we will not be placing the air filter right over the header like some other guys do. Like I said, we are pulling out all the stops for you on this kit. The Vortech System will be the one to buy once we are finished making it perfect.
Check out this cool transparent overlay pic of the kit installed with the cooler. Click on it for full size. |
