Any dealings with Car West Auto Body, Santa Clara?

My car got bumped and I need to have some repairs.

My front runners are Pearson Collision Center (Yelp-5 star, 1 review) in Sunnyvale and Cavallino Collision Repair (Yelp-3 star, 7 reviews) in East Palo Alto.

Car West Auto Body (Yelp-4 star, 48 reviews) in Santa Clara is in my insurance company's network. To be fair, I told them I would check them out so I'm looking for any info.

Thanks.

Thanks, yes, I can take it anywhere I like.

I'm terrified. I wish this never happened.

Most people roll over and go where the insurance company tells them to go, that can be a good thing or not so good. It really depends on the integrity of the shop. Under a DRP (direct repair program) shops agree to discount labor rates in exchange for volume, they also do not get paid for a lot of necessary items and are pressured to take short cuts. If the shop, the manager & the tech who actually makes the repairs takes pride in his/her work and has some integrity than the end product should be OK.

Family owned operations usually means the owner is on site as opposed to corporate chains.

Yelp sucks, plain & simple. It might work for food service but tends to be a bitch forum for the sic and unreasonable. Look for ICar Gold certification, ASE, and even Diamond Certified.

Understand I am not bad mouthing any repair shops, just trying to offer some help in selecting a shop that has an understanding of your concern, as a new Camaro owner, for a top quality repair, one which is as undetectable as possible. No insurance company pays for that, so it usually is only found at shops of high integrity and who's employees have pride in their workmanship.

Perhaps we should do an insurance / body shop seminar.
