I went today and had a blast. I highly encourage everyone to go. I do have to say though that the Chevy displays were lacking in my opinion. Ford seemed to have really pulled out all the stops. Full engine displays, heck they even had a Mustang laying on it's side so you could see the under-carriage, with key information posted everywhere to explain what was special about it. Displays that demonstrated exhaust sounds, instrument panel displays/gadgets. Really nice stuff. I loved the Chevy section, and the Corvette's were amazing. I wish they would have had the Camaro's on a big stand with lightning bolts, colored lasers, and flashing signs like Vegas that say, "the most awesome car in the world!" or something, but that's just me (probably most of you too). I couldn't help but watch people check out the 5th Gens though and say awesome stuff about it. I just wanted to raise my hand and shout, "I HAVE ONE!!!", but I held it in.

Anyway, check it out, brothers and sisters. It's definitely worth the trip. Don't miss it.

I agree with Jakpot. You could actually walk up close and peek in the 2011 Mustang's window. Last year at the car shows, the 2010 Camaro was behind a rope.

I was very disappointed to see that the Synergy Green Camaro, along with the Stingray Concept were both in Philadelphia, NOT in our Nation Capital's car show. What's the deal?

These pics don't look like any car show I've been to. The most recent was probably Phoenix and the displays were elaborate and eye catching. It looks like an indoor parking lot in these pics. Am I wrong?

You are not wrong Rafsanjani. There doesn't seem to be much hype about being in DC for the autoshow so we typically don't get the dress up that other areas of the country get. If you want to see the dress up and hype you need to get away from here and go to places like NYC, Chicago, Detroit or one of the other big cities.

That model is cute, but she didn't know anything about the cars. A friend and I were asking her questions when she was in the Chrysler area and she couldn't answer anything. Then again, what do we really want her to know about cars....

I wonder about this as well. It seems the DC Metro region is the third biggest market in the U.S. so it would stand to reason that our auto show would be better than most, but it's positively spartan by comparison.... doesn't add up....
