Aftermarket Air Intake
Hi Folks.
I am looking to upgrade my air intake system, I have been told to steer clear of K & N as causes the fuel to run lean and can cause engine management issues. I have been informed to go for one that has a had held tuner with it. I have a 2012 Camaro SS anniversary edition and im new to the car, could u advise on the best kit to get thanks. Rene |

I just installed a vararam Cai and it is the best I have ever used.
It goes up and over the radiator pulling directly from the front grille. The install was easy. I noticed a diference in power. Engine sounds smoothe. getting about 1mpg better

well there are BBK, Airaid, Spectre Performance, and Vararam, and of course K&N. most companies that manufacture 5th gen parts almost always produce a cold air intake

For the Cold Air Intake, the numbers are with Cold Air Inductions, make no mistake. As far as looks + pricing goes, people have gone with Rotofab. The majority of the people on this website run Cold Air Inductions from the research I've done, another popular one is of course the Rotofab and then finally just random Cold Air Intakes from other companies. That's my $.2 cents from one newbie to another. |

The CAI brand cold air intake is very popular but it is as ugly as sin but I do like the closed top but not in the style that CAI does it. Eventually the extreme heat underneath the hood will get to that Plexiglass clear cover, it will either warp or become discolored because of the heat.

Can't go wrong with a CAI. Had one on my 1LT - have one on my 1SS. They are the best!

So CAI, Rotofab, or K&N? K&N is easier for me to get at autozone but I can order something else if yall recommend something better. Sorry for asking this on your thread OP.
