Matt Hood Problems. HELP!!
Ok so I looked through the detailing section and I can not find any good info on this topic. One of my friends ( and co-worker) played a joke on me and decided to draw Hearts and Dicks on the hood of my New 15 1LE. I tried dusting, Washing with Maguire's soap and water but I'm afraid to put to many chemicals on this wrap. No matter what I do I can still see the drawings at certain angles in the sun. Any advice or threads would be appreciated .

I have had a very good results with Aerospace 303 Protectant, it removes a lot of streaks and blotches on the vinyl hood wrap. Spray on a microfiber towel and evenly apply. Let sit for a few minutes and wipe off with dry microfiber towel. It absorbs into the vinyl and leaves a nice matte finish.
Good Luck. |

Read on 3M FAQ that 2 parts Isopropyl alcohol 1 part water can help. Has anyone tried this?

They drew it in the dust IIRC, you posted before about this right? You can try the Adam's VRT. It'll make it kind of shiny but hopefully when it eventually goes back to more of a matte finish, it'd likely be reduced at least.

Coat it with adams vrt in a circular motion with the applicator, then let it sit a few hours and go over it with one of their soft towels. It removes the sheen and gives it a really nice matte finish.

If your so called dick head friend did it at work, bring it up to his boss. He should be fired if he doesnt think he should buy you a new wrap installed.

Well he is MY boss lol. But also my friend. He's already offered to pay what it cost to have fixed. He just wasn't thinking at the time. I would still rather do it without buying a whole new wrap if I can, even if he is paying. Thanx for the responses everyone.
