Title says it all, two mechanics diagnosed it p0008 but won't do the work because of their inexperience with this engine. I need the best price possible in West SFV. Vehicle shakes and is mostly not drivable. Any help is appreciated.

That's probably a timing chain issue. If your mechs don't know the LLT very well, get to a GM service center.

Definately sounds like the timing chain. Best to get it to a shop that can change it out.
