2024 Last Year of ZL1?
Has anyone heard if 2024 is the actual last year of the Camaro ZL1? Or will 2023 (This year) be the last?

No one knows as GM has made no announcement. Anything you read is speculation. I was told by a GM executive, if you want one, order it now. I did order and my ZLE is now built.

I wouldnt be surprised if they only made a limited number of 23s and called it a day. Production constraints, global economies slowing down rapidly, gas prices at 5-6/gal, the push toward EV...I ordered my 23 and really hope I get it, but at this point I'm not holding my breath.

Current forecast shows 2024 as last MY for Camaro. They are going to have a ‘commemorative’ package as a send off. I wouldn’t expect the package to be much more than some custom decal/color combos.
As for ending early, they schedule facilities/suppliers/labor a MY in advance. So the 2024 MY commitments are already done.

Like was said if you want a new ZL1 order it now is my best advice because I would imagine that the last ones built people will be grabbing them off the dealer lots.

2022 is the best year ZL1 ever made according to GM race director of North America.
He said the lucky few to get a 2022 model have the best ZL1 ever built. |

Unless they upgraded any parts, modified the tune or improved the manufacturing process I would find it hard to believe. Thousand of parts used to build these cars come from 3rd party suppliers. If anything, I was a bit more concerned about the build process during the supply chain mess. Cars are missing chips, having to be retrofitted, sitting in holding lots for extended periods of time. It makes you wonder if any other processes may have been skipped or altered during production.

The best model year is 100% the 20/early21. Those are the cars that were built before parts shortages and worker shortages started.
Anything since would be considered a COVID car now. Parts are held to lower QC standards to get more quantity built faster as well as an army of lower paid temp workers filling in for more experienced line workers as covid spread and forced many home for good. Trust me I got bit by this with my 21 Hellcat. It was built middle of Covid and has three separate parts stoppages in its production. Took 4 months to complete and deliver. Then I spend another 4 months dealing with several and I mean SEVERAL parts failures from minute one. Poor quality parts that should have never passed their MFR QC standards before covid. So my opinion is if you got a car built before the parts and worker shortages, then you truly have the best version of these cars. Since then you are likely going to get lower quality build and workmanship. And its been showing. Lots of people all over complaining of parts issues, fit and finish and over all quailty with covid cars. Its like every car since mid 2021 has been built on a Friday before a three day weekend...lol |

Order now don’t wait … markups will be crazy for the last year of ICE Camaros whenever that gets announced so I wouldn’t wait if you’re looking to be the original owner. Seems like the car industry has gone full retard woke that answers to California standards so don’t wait … next thing they’ll tell us is that a 4 door SUV can be a Camaro.

My 2018 is pretty well built, and I'm more of a chicken than before for fear of not being able to replace parts easily if something happens...

Ordered a 23’ ZL1 in May. I really hope it’s squared away by the time they build mine.
