I'm gonna check it out. I'm most likely going to go Thursday Jan 28 in the AM. If you're going, and you happen to be there the same time as me come say hello! If would be fun to hang w/ the Mid-Atlantic Cam5 family....

Also, we have passes available. Come by the showroom, and ask for a couple. Just don't say I put you up to it....

Sidewinder is def correct in that statement - do not drive to the event - might come out with no wheels. Drive to a metro lot and take the subway in - for those out of towners - the guy/gal at the metro will know which stop to get off on and how much it will cost. My experience has shown them to be very helpful.

Change in plans for me. Will be going to Wintergreen for a little snowboarding mini vacation. Some buddies had it planned out but 1 of them can't make it. I was next on the list and don't want to pass up a day on the slopes when offered.Just found out at our union meeting this morning. Thanks for the heads up on parking and looking out for us out of towners. Very cool...

I use to like the Autoshows when all the concept cars came. Now with these shows you get last years stuff and the rest is just like one big car dealer.

I plan on going but I hope the whole show isn't hybrid this and electric that. The website sure looks like that right now. When you look up what concept cars will be there, there is a whopping two of them. Both Hybrids.

I think I just talked myself out of going.

Well I was there ever so briefly, for about 30 to 45 minutes. Like a doctor, I am on call, and was called into work.

I did take mad pictures, and this event is hands on. Aside from the Caddy Converj, Chevy Volt, Aveo RS, and the Chevy Cruze, and cars were open and the public is ok to sit inside pop the hood, trunks.... pics coming soon.

BTW, it was not at all crowded, and it's easy going there by Metro-Rail. If you have the time, go!

I'll begin w/ the show cars.

First and foremost, the Buick Regal GS show car. No plans to build it yet, but I hope they do, it was stunning, and the pics do it no justice. This is a 2.0-liter turbo that's expected to produce at least 255 horses and 295 pound-feet of tourque, routed through a six-speed manual to a Haldex all-wheel-drive system that includes an electronically controlled limited-slip rear differential.

If you were wondering on the color, it is Olympic White!

Cadillac Converj Show Car. (Although they announced Jan 10, 2010 that they will build this car.)

The Aveo RS Show Car.
