I would think if you went to Strange and opened up your wallet wide enough, surely you could buy the same rear end set-up that is in the COPO?!?!? But, who knows, maybe I'm wrong. Either way, this Moser set-up is Bad-Ass.....just way more than I'll ever need!!! Should be some good deals coming down the road from guys selling their 9" conversions to upgrade to this.....I suppose I'll just wait for their "scraps"!!!! Hahahaha!!!
LMAO.... This is going to be, a good option for the guys with a track purpose car, making a lot of power.

I think John is right, it might be $6,500. to $7,000. They sell the one for the Corvette for $6,500

Looks great, but I'm sure that most of the cars that this would go in will be dedicated strip cars. Great handling on the street will be gone for sure. I think Moser said this was not a true bolt in. A lot of hacking is gonna probably be required, also, no more oem gas tank most likely.

You would need a gas tank In the trunk for this.

No, it's not a complete "bolt-in", but it's not nearly as bad as mounting in the COPO rear end. Not "a lot" of hacking, but some. If you watch the video in the link above, they guy says there are a couple panels you gotta remove and there are a couple brackets welded in up front. And yes, no more OEM fuel tank. But it still seems like a lot simpler installation than the Strange/COPO set-up.

My guess on price would be somewhere around $7000 to $7500 plus a custom made drive shaft and labor for install, that would be pretty steep for a car that doesn't run pro events with sponsors. Heck, that's around 10% down on a real COPO! I'm sure a hand full of the high horsepower dedicated drag guys will love this though! Can't wait to see someone do this around here! Would be bad ass launching at the track!

I'm sure it's nice but with some of the times I've seen on the track so far the 9 inch kits are doing just fine. I'm sure you could save some weight with the live axle but looks like a lot of work to make it all happen.

We have to look at class rules first, If they are allowed in LSX 5th gen im gonna need a night job. But will have the most wicked IRS system up for sale. we will have to see it shake out. Right now im selling every thing I can to get the Extreme Innovations front member to get that front end weight down.

I spoke to Kip at the show, its going to need about as much work as if you were to do it your self, gas tank has to be removes and no ABS so its still a bit to make happen.

When I was talking to moser they said price of what is pictured will be the same as the c5 kit which is around 6k. It can be upgraded to fab9, limited slip etc. does require fuel tank relocation.

That would be a hell of deal for the serious drag racers, you get a lot for your money.

The Basic Kit Includes:

New Moser 12-bolt or optional M9 fabricated 9-inch housing
35 spline custom alloy axles
Moser lightweight steel spool
12-bolt Pro-Comp gears (street gear options also available)
1350 series chromoly pinion yoke
Timken bearings on internals/sealed axle bearings
5/8 drive stud kit (2 or 3-inch)
Chromoly torque arms, driveshaft loop, transmission cross member, panhard bar, track locator, lower control arms, spring saddles, anti-roll adjuster, anti-roll arm, anti-roll tubes, and framerails.
Mild steel front cross member
