My Build Thread - Rags to Riches or to the Poor House. LOL [COTW 12/15/14]
Hi all. So I figured it was time to start my build thread. At this time the car is up in MA having motor work done by Slowhawk. (I’ll get into the motor a little later, it’s a biggie) But I have a ton in store for the car when she comes back. Lots and lots of parts just waiting to go on her as well as a full “WhipSkin.com” wrap. The only parts I put on before going up to Slowhawk were Hawk ceramic brake pads, a Z28 Wing and the Peek A Boo door handles. I did have them powder coated gloss black since they do not offer them in gloss. I will keep updating as this project progress. Some pics below starting with the car on the dealer lot.

Pics of my visit to Slowhawk and my delivery to Slowhawk
Once I visited with the guys at Slowhawk I was all in! Nick & Don are taking great care of my Z... A special thanks to Nick. He made me feel so comfortable from the minute I met with him. He is taking great pride in building my car. That goes a long, long way with me. When I tell you guys there is no one else like the guys at Slowhawk. They really want the customer to be happy. With them it's not just about the money!!!!!!!!!

So the wrap shop has laminated the film with a 1.2 mil satin overlay by Avery. It's a crazy color that pictures of a small sample cannot capture. Basically in certain lights it will appear a metallic white (Not pearl, no golds) and then in other lights the car will appear to be silver.
